The article focuses on the linguistic model of education in the high school of Ukraine, updated the importance of the state language as the main factor in the selfdevelopment of the student’s personality, his national and intercultural self-identification. Different components of this model are analyzed, their role and place in the system of professional training of future specialists are determined. The necessity of multi-vector, in accordance with the professional training of the student, of studying the Ukrainian language as the necessary component of professional and cultural communication is emphasized.
