The research problem – what demand for executive coaching is in innovative and noninnovative
companies according executives’ managers’ activities? The research purpose was to
identify the demand for executive coaching in innovative and non-innovative companies in Lithuania
according manager’s activities. The research object – 20 companies: 10 innovative and 10 noninnovate
companies. Methods of the research: the assessments of executive managers and personnel
managers, and comparative analysis of innovative and non-innovative companies. The demand for
coaching in companies was set according to those following executive managers’ activities: professional
development; performance development; assessment, diagnosis, planning; individual conversation
and giving feedback; attending, responding for the employee's interests; listening, appropriate
response to the employee's actions; implementation. The highest demand for executive coaching
was identified in innovative companies according to following activities – listening, appropriate
response to the employee's actions; in non-innovative companies – attending, responding for the
employee's interests. According to all the assets executives’ practical activities, the demand for coaching
is higher in lower innovation companies.
