Abstract
The dissertation analyzes the implementation of social impact assessment of work integration social enterprises in the Baltic States. The importance of implementing social impact assessments for social enterprises is increasingly emphasized in the scientific literature and EU guidance acts. However, the implementation of social impact assessment is hampered by barriers and limitations within the organization’s internal and external environment. Besides, for work integration social enterprise, the implementation of the social mission requires additional resources and time. Social impact assessment practices in organizations are not widespread. In order to achieve sustainable development of the social enterprise sector, successful integration of disadvantaged people, and efficient use of funds, it is essential to identify how to implement a systematic, regular assessment of the social impact of work integration social enterprises, with existing obstacles and limitations in the internal and external environment of organizations. The problem of implementing social impact assessment requires a holistic approach, taking into account the internal and external environment of the organization. The dissertation analyzes theoretical aspects of social impact assessment implementation and research on social impact assessment implementation in the Baltic States. Based on theoretical and empirical research, the concept of implementation of social impact assessment by work integration social enterprise provides a better understanding of the environmental conditions of implementation of the Baltic States assessment process, preconditions for overcoming obstacles and limitations, actions and measures required for implementation of systematic, regular social impact assessment of social enterprises.
