Dissertation research aims at validating the functional structure of entrepreneurship promotion system, which meets the socio-economic needs of Lithuania. Entrepreneurship promotion at the national level should be implemented by applying a systemic attitude and ensured by a long-term strategy based on the choice of priorities and directions, data analysis and valid planning. National level entrepreneurship promotion system has to be based on a clear structure of the institutions which form and implement the entrepreneurship promotion policy and their interdepartmental scheme. The main components of the entrepreneurship system are identified, which are interrelated by hierarchical accountability.
