Administracinė teisė Vaclovo Biržiškos akimis
Abstract
In Lithuania administrative law lectures began to be read in 1922 at the University of Lithuania. The lectures
were read by V. Biržiška, a recognized and well-known book scientist, documentarian, book and press historian, bibliographer,
the pioneer of biographistic resources. V. Biržiška had not published any works related to administrative
law, except, it seems, Administrative Law course syllabi reflecting the content of the classes and the understanding of
lawyers of that time in this branch of law. In addition, there were no books dedicated to the studies of administrative
law in the Interwar period until 1939 in Lithuania. Thus, the purpose of this study is to analyze Administrative Law
course descriptions from 1931/1932 and 1936/1937 academic years and lectures’ notes published in 1935 and 1937
as the only sources of the administrative law studies.
