Abstract

EuroBasket 2011, a sports event of the dimension of European Championship, required the mobilization of efforts on the national level both in terms of assuming commitments by Lithuanian Basketball Federation and securing guarantees from the government of the Republic of Lithuania. The goal of this publication is to analyze the experience of LOC managers responsible for specific areas during the preparation and the running of EuroBasket2011 event. This book is intended for international event organizers, managers of sport organizations, academic community and basketball fans.
