Kultūrinio identiteto paribio klausimas: visuomeniniai-kultūriniai L.P. Karsavino pažiūrų apmatai
Abstract
The article considers the environment which affected L.P. Karsavinas (1882-1952), especially during the period of his life in Kaunas. It is attempted to reconstruct a creative self-awareness of the philosopher, which has been already affected by camp atmosphere and the raised in the treatise About perfection ideas, which gained bright existential nuance as well as interfaces of his personal destiny are analyzed in detail. L.P. Karsavinas is a famous religious philosopher, culture historian, who lectured in the University of Lithuania in the forties – fifties of the 20th century, and later in Vytautas Magnus University together with his internationally recognized colleagues lawyer M. Romeris and a philosopher V. Sezemanas. Deported from Russia, he easily transformed linguistic self-awareness from Russian to Lithuanian. Treatise ‘About perfection‘ was written in 1952 in Abeze camp. The most important metaphysics ideas of L.P. Karsavinas are included in this work as well as in his another work On Time (1950). Very popular concept is given in Greek μετάνοια (in Lithuanian neologism created by L.P. Karsavin protausena). The aim of analysis is to determine, how many and how elements of different cultures (inherited and obtained) affected the way of philosopher‘s thinking, linguistic worldview, values purification. When making conclusions, it can be stated that in his treatise About perfection L.P.Karsavinas gets free from language limitations, uses neologisms in order to express a certain abstract thought.
