Abstract
Every pharmacist, who works in the pharmaceutical sector, must ensure the quality of patient
services. Direct contact of the patient and the pharmacist is going on pharmacy. Singuliarities of this
contact in the European Union countries are finetuned by the „Good Pharmacy Practice Guidelines“.
The purpose of the guidelines is to ensure the quality of medicines, rational and economically
reasonable usage of prescriptive medicines, to take care for the health and healthy lifestyle of the
patient, to provide a full information about your current medicines. On this basis, a pharmacist must
not only meet the requirements, that helps to preserve the quality of medicine but also properly handle
the patient. Pharmacy which provides pharmaceutical services that meets the „Good Pharmacy
Practice Guidelines“ takes care on pharmaceutical care which is practiced in the whole world. Pharmaceutical care is a responsible treatment with medications, which aims to achieve clear results
that improves quality of patients' life.
