This article analyzes students’ motivation to study law and boarder security program in university. There were 113 students form first, second, third and fourth class of frontier-guard profession program, who volunteered to do this test (80 males and 33 females). It was found that students’ learning was influenced by social and perspective motives, such as: importance to broaden one’s horizons, influence of parents, opportunity to get a job and become a frontier-guard.
