The paper analyzes the employment issues of Mykolas Romeris University graduates majoring in Law and State Border Guard study programme. The paper provides information about the employment of graduates not only in the units of State Border Guard Service under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania but also in such structures as Police, Customs, Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania , Financial Crime Investigation Service under the Ministry of the Interior. The purpose of the work is to investigate how graduates are being employed and how they cope with their problems. The article deals with the problem of some students‘ refusal to work as officers and their placement into civil structures. The article also analyzes the perfection of graduates‘ employment and presents certain findings: - Studies in which statutory state officers are prepared have to be financed by the state; - Perfection of triangular agreement subsection on serving in interior service not less than 3 years - Explaining of profession benefits during studies, discussion on particularity of various positions and difficulties forming student‘s attitude towards a chosen profession.
