Asmenybės ypatumų ryšys su streso pasekmių vertinimu ir streso įveikimo pobūdžiu statutinėje organizacijoje
Organisational stress arises from the imbalance between perceived demands of work enviroment and perceived resources of individual to deal with those demands. Person makes efforts to reduce the perceived imbalance by changing behaviour, cognition and physiological functions, using differenent coping strategies. Various researchers found that personality and coping precede and determine the perception of stress, which in turn affects well-being. The aim of the present study was to estimate the relationship between such variables as A type personality, externality, well-beeing and coping strategies. The sample used in this study comprised of 584 officers from two Lithuanian statutory organizations. The research itself was based on the use of OSI (“Occupational Stress Indicator”, Evers, Frese, Cooper 2000) questionnaire. Analysis of results shows, that personality traits are related with psychological and physical health , coping strategines.
