The interaction between the norms of civil and competition law is analysed in the article. This interaction is becoming more important with the development of competition law and the implementation of the norms of the new Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania. The analysis of the interaction between the norms of the civil and competition law is carried out by evaluating one of the main principles of civil law - the principle of freedom of agreement. Different sorts of agreement, such as agency, distribution, and franchise, are analysed. All these types of agreement are regulated under the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania. While analysing the interaction, separate points of civil law are explained taking into account the norms of competition law as much as necessary to single out the main aspects of the interaction. In his article the author has drawn some conclusions which will help to properly explain and implement the norms of civil law, and ensure that the norms of competition law are not violated while implementing the norms of civil law.
