The article is devoted to one of the key problems existing in our society that of pension system reformation. A three-pillar pension model, which would help us avoid the crisis of ageing population as well as guarantee-retired people’s welfare, is presented. In the article questions related with existing pension funds legal warrants are widely discussed. For instance, the regulations for companies, which have the right to participate in this business, are well defined. Issues on pension contract making, the possibility to change a pension fund, fixed limitations from accumulated funds are all extensively analyzed. Moreover, the problem of pension payments is pointed out Furthermore, questions concerning investing are presented. It is highlighted that while choosing a pension fund it is necessary to bear in mind the person’s age and the fund’s investing policy. A recommendation is introduced to manage calculations on investing strategies. The article concludes that legal acts provide quite a lot of guarantees to a successful functioning of pension funds. However, only after having applied them into practice, we would know how effective they are. One of the virtually important guarantees for pension funds participants would be surely their awareness of their rights and funds regulations, since the risk of investing is purely the responsibility of participants.
