In the world where the new economy is emerging the e-commerce is developing fast. Simultaneously more and more contracts are concluded in electronic form, that there is a necessity of regulation of this form of contracts and legal recognition of electronic information. Developing national e-commerce laws analysis on international documents coordinating e-commerce is crucial. Legal processes of e-commerce worldwide have been started to analyze by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law. European Commission paid considerable attention to ecommerce laws in Europe: Model Law on Electronic Commerce was issued, Directive on e-commerce was passed, etc. If Lithuania wants to integrate into EU successfully and to develop a legal environment favorable for e-commerce for Lithuanian firms, it has to develop and adopt laws regulating public relations in the sphere of e-commerce and to realize some principles.
