NGOs often inspire and activate voluntary help that provide community members with social services. This article iš based on the research (of the foreign countries) on the understanding of communities and the significance of voluntary help implementing programs of social improvement. Based on the interpretation of the research results, it is shown that, thanks to community's voluntary activities, there are many opportunities to implement social improvement programs, which reflect the needs of children. In addition, the research data indicates that the preparation of volunteers is necessary for the implementation of child social improvement programs as well as their on-going support and active encouragement seeking for the volunteer's continuity in community activities.
