Straipsnyje socialinės globos paslaugų kokybė analizuojama viešųjų paslaugų organizavimo ir vertinimo kontekste, atsižvelgiant į institucinės globos pertvarkos aspektus. Atskleisti pagrindiniai iššūkiai, su kuriais susiduria socialinės globos įstaigos, dirbančios su senyvo amžiaus asmenimis. Empiriniams duomenims surinkti 2017 m. atliktas kiekybinis tyrimas.
